Il Ritrovo · Italian cuisine

Sardiniantable

Il Ritrovo is the house restaurant of Antico Borgo, and it works the way a village kitchen works: the same room for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktail hour, the same family cooking, and tables that fill up with guests and neighbours alike. The ambience is traditional and family-friendly rather than formal, and dietary needs are handled quietly if you tell the kitchen in advance.

Eating like a guest of the village

Nothing here is styled for a tasting menu. Bread, pasta, vegetables, cheese and slow-cooked meat arrive in normal portions, and the wine list stays close to home, with bottles and champagne charged separately. If you keep a vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free diet, mention it when you book or the evening before, and a special diet meal is prepared without fuss.

Families settle in easily: the buffet is kid-friendly, children's meals are always possible, and the coffee shop and snack bar cover the hours between proper meals. For late arrivals, room service and the bar keep going after the dining room quiets.
